中国美术学院设计艺术周|创造更好的世界——首届“跨界•叙述性环境设计”国际论坛

在西方的哲学语境里关于"being"的意义充满了辨析与变动,其意涵介乎“存在”(existence)、“是”(S is P)与“断真”(that is true)之间。无论是关乎“实存”(existence)的“本体论”、关乎“实在”(reality)的“认识论”还是关乎“真实”(truth)的“逻辑学”,"being" 概念的每一次变动都伴随着形而上学体系的新旧交替。这都使得人们得以重新审思"being"一词的内涵,并对变动不居的"being"进行一次再设计。
这种不断被迭代、更替、变化的状态,更是我们倾向赋予"being"的概念。
"Being"可以拆解成"be"+"ing",理解为一种正在进行时的状态存在。这种状态是动态、变化和发展中的不确定性,激发我们从不同维度去思考变的可能,去创造正在进行中的未来。
中国美术学院设计艺术周今年是第四届,本届设计周主题是:"Design Being"。"Design"一词随着时代发展也在不断被重新定义,我们深知当下设计学科发展的不确定性超过以往任何时候,我们看到变化已经成为常态,科技让这个时代不断加速,科技不断给我们带来新知的同时,甚至还打破了传统的经验,让人感到迷茫。我们面对数字和科技发展带来的新命题,到底要坚持什么和改变什么?值得每一个人去思考。1400多年前的隋朝的思想家王通说到:“通其变,天下无弊法;执其方,天下无善教”就是要我们通晓事物变化的规律,灵活应对, 天下就不存在有弊端的法道;假设执着于常规教条旧制,天下就不会有好的教化。今天,我们每个人都是时代的探索者,面对新旧迭代、更替、变化的现实常态,更应该“通其变,寻善教”,一起拥抱未来。
媒介和工具,是影响和决定设计师信息传达方式和表现的重要因素。从手工抄写到古登堡时期的活字印刷,从热金属铸排机到激光照排,从桌面出版系统到各种应用软件,再到当下的数字交互媒介的应用,每个时期的技术变革都在影响着平面设计的创新与发展。
今天,数字与交互、动态与屏幕已经成为人们接收和传播信息的主要媒介。创意编程、人工智能等数字技术被广泛用做设计的工具,也给平面设计从静态延伸到动态,从二维拓展至三维提供了更多的机会与可能。在动态视觉设计越来越频繁出现的当下,让我们重新思考传统平面设计与日益变化的技术如何相互作用,以及传统平面设计向动态发展的关系。
本展览聚焦国际前沿动态视觉设计领域,邀请了来自国内外11个设计机构的著名设计师,展现他们在视觉设计领域中动态设计的探索,关注信息承载下的媒介塑造和新工具应用,发现设计师背后的动态思维模式和创作方法,以及动态设计在社会传播中所承担的作用。展览在设计艺术学院,举办旨在为教学提供更多的专业思考和教学路径,通过与参展设计师对话,结合动态设计工作坊教学,能更好地了解动态设计思维与创作方法,从数字科技发展中寻找对未来的感知力,从现实社会传播中探索创新的执行力。
Media and design tools are important factors that affect and determine how designers design ways of visual communication. From manual transcription to movable-type printing in the Gutenberg period, from hot metal casting typesetters to laser phototypesetters, from desktop publishing systems to various software applications, to the application of current digital interactive media, the technological revolution in each period is affecting the innovation and development of graphic design.
Nowadays, digital and interactive, motion and screens have become the mainstream media for people to receive and disseminate information. Creative programming, artificial intelligence and other digital technologies are widely used as design tools, which also provide more opportunities and possibilities for graphic design to extend from static to dynamic, from two-dimensional to three-dimensional. At the moment when motion graphics appear more and more frequently, make us rethink how technology and graphic design interact, and the relationship between motion and static graphic design.This exhibition focuses on the international frontier motion visual design field, inviting famous designers from 11 design institutions at home and abroad to show their exploration of motion design in the field of visual design, focusing on the media shaping and the application of new tools under the load of information, discovering the motion design thinking and creation method of the designers, as well as the role of motion design in social communication.
The exhibition is held in the School of Design to provide more professional thinking and teaching paths for teaching. Through the dialogue with participating designers combined with the teaching of motion design workshop, we can better understand the motion design thinking and creation methods, learn to find the perception of the future from the development of digital technology, and explore the execution of innovation from the communication of real society.

another design was co-founded by Liu Zhao and Zhan Huode in 2014, which is a crossmedium visual communication team. Its members come from various fields including graphic design, product design, and photography. 井口皓太出生于1984年,是一位动态设计师及创意指导。他在2013年成立了创意机构“CEKAI”。2020年,他负责为2020年东京奥运会和残奥委会创作了首个“竞赛动态图标”,并且在开幕式中负责视频指导为该活动的无人机制作制作了3D动画。他曾获2014年东京TDC奖、2014年及2015年D&AD⻩铅笔奖、2015年纽约ADC金奖等。
Born in 1984, Kota Iguchi is a motion designer and creative director. He founded creative association “CEKAI” in 2013. In 2020, he was in charge of creating the first ever “Tokyo 2020 Kinetic Sport Pictograms” for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Also he participated in the opening ceremony as Video Director, and produced the 3D animation for the drone production of the event. He was awarded Tokyo TDC Award 2014, D&AD 2014 Yellow Pencil, D&AD 2015 Yellow Pencil, NY ADC 2015 Gold, etc.

KAUKAU is a visual communication studio in Shanghai. After years of work and study in Holland, Li Kefeng and Li Zifei came back to China with a multi-cultural perspective. They are the two chief designers of KAUKAU. Keita Onishi is a video artist based in Tokyo and Kanagawa, Japan. Onishi produces video installation works and music videos using animation methods to express the structure of music and the texture of sound. He is also involved in advertising, such as
television advertising; , concept movies and motion CIs. He has been an associate professor at the Department of System Design, Faculty of Design Engineering, Hosei University.
Lucas Hesse 常驻德国汉堡,是一位专注于字体编排的平面和动态设计师。他在美因茨学习期间,曾于首尔进行一学期的交换。他曾在奥芬巴赫设计学院接受过Eike König的指导,并在鹿特丹的登⻉设计进行实习。这些经历让他“对不同的人格、以及来自不同设计文化和⻛格的人充满好奇”,明白各种不同的设计如何对彼此产生微妙影响。
Lucas Hesse is a Hamburg-based graphic & motion designer with a strong focus on typography. During his studies in Mainz, he spent a semester abroad in Seoul, joined a course at the HfG in Offenbach under the direction of Eike König and gained experience trough an internship at Studio Dumbar in Rotterdam. This made him “curious about how different personalities and people from different cultures approach design.” It taught the designer how some influences can indirectly effect one another.

Studio fnt is a Seoul based graphic design studio founded in November 2006. They collect fragmented and straying thoughts, and then organize and transform them into relevant forms. Their three partners, Heesun Kim, Jaemin Lee and Woogyung Geel work together with a number of designers on various projects. Their capabilities include branding for corporate business, graphic design for exhibitions and/or cultural arts events, and many others in various fields, sizes and media.

Ting-An Ho is a graphic designer and art director based in Taipei. He has received numerous recognitions including ADC Awards, Golden Butterfly Award, Golden Pin Design Award, Design Awards Asia, iF Design Awards, etc. His work has exhibited in Design Centre of Singapore, La Biennale de Venezia, Tokyo 21_21 design sight, etc. Except focusing on brand imaging, digital experience, and art directing, he spends most of the time dealing with cats.
